Dressed in lace in this place she has peace of mind
A moment so sublime, something they’ll never find
Make her conform
She could care less
They wore their finery
She a grass stained dress, a grass stained dress
Elders weighing in to judge Ursula
Possessed a narrow mind
All it took was one look to condemn Ursula
Why can’t she toe the line?
They asked the groom
He loves her way
And joined her out on the lawn
She’s like the beauty of dawn
Spirit can not be tamed on her wedding day!

Got a love life, It was way long overdue.
Always lonely had some loser also rans

She knew the owls just by their voices
They knew her footsteps thru the woods
Each had a sound that was familiar
Each always felt misunderstood
Owls see the best inside the darkness
She too possessed that sense of sight
The other instinct shared in common
When they were startled both took flight
At night she’d walk the back roads
The season thru the year
We never had much conversation
Those owls won’t let you near
A silent grace and beauty
Like raptors poised to fly
It takes your breath away in wonder
And then they soar across the sky
There was a sister so they tell me
She never felt the need to please
Another roadside country walker
She saw the forest for the trees
The locals like to trade some gossip
Come to the fence to bend an ear
The second sister was a favorite
They found her manner to be queer
I’ve learned to walk the backroads
Not care what others say
I get inspired by those two sisters
The kind of freedom they portray
She knew the owls just by their voices

With its own brand of mythical lore.

Cause she’s baffling and she cunning
She will always keep you laughing
Half a brain you’d send her packing
An atomic nuclear drama
She’s the proton without the karma
She’s a foreign country you should never visit
Cause this language immersion
Is a version that no ones ever heard of before
Weaves a web of lies that keeps your head just spinning
She’s Arachne only hackney
Not the beauty or brains just a bore
If she asks how you are doing
With agenda that she’s brewing
Cause there’s always some condition
On the crumbs that she is dishing

Only growth you may be seeing
Is from something she’s heard or she’s stealing
Just too self absorbed to know of your existence
Same old story from a story that she’ll tell you a million times more

It was a small town Eden, not much there for a girl to do
She had to be somebody, bit an apple her wish came true
To get to be somebody, there was nothing she wouldn’t try
With such a deep based hunger, her downfall was based on a lie.
She laughed a little too loud and strutted way too proud
Her need for power made her reach and caused her reputation breach
Claimed innocence on everything, does this have a familiar ring?
There was a girl from Teaneck had the spotlight within her view
Just had to be a big star, so she walked it all over you
You helped her be somebody, a friend in need is a friend indeed
Want something like in kind, it was viewed as a kind of crime.
At some point the ladder rungs fail, a reputation starts to pale
She must be left with precious few, who don’t know what was true
You see it all go in reverse, it becomes like a kind of curse.
Best live the life you choose, your soul is yours to loose
Forgive that original sin cause that Eden they just needed to win
For some it’s the price to pay, not for me, never been my way.

Well I’m, dancing with this minotaur, this dream inside my brain
Keep on grasping at the metaphor, before I go insane.
Is it some inane symbolic thing that’s buried deep inside
Am I onto something really big, that I should try to hide?
So far, put my tongue inside my cheek better bite it
Or hide, whats deep inside of me, why wont it let me be?
I keep waiting for a miracle to appear inside of me
And ignore all of the daily ones that never cease to be.
So dark, gotta wonder what my mind is creating
To find what’s deep inside of me
When will my soul be free?
So I’m dancing with this minotaur, the book says it’s part of me
If I recognize just what it’s for the dance will set me free

This cavalier detachment, a front for all to see
He hungers for that phone call, obsessing endlessly.
We all have known somebody, or, maybe it’s yourself?
It’s on again and off again, while life waits on the shelf.
A fete a complis, the world misery, the heart lies in ruin

Mercury in Retorgrade
Just when you thing you’re on the verge of an Einstein big breakthrough
It all comes to a screeching halt right there in front of you
In three weeks it’ll work out, but maybe not right now
It’s mercury in retrograde, forestalling you somehow.
I bought a car in retrograde and that was really dumb
It blew up on the highway before the month was done
The sun was hot that day I had to use my thumb
It was that planet mercury that made that lemon bum.
The simple tasks in front of you will never quite go right
And don’t you sign that contract the outlook isn’t bright
Yes mercury in retrograde is never too much fun
What takes the blame one tiny speck the first one from the sun
And then there was this guy I met I thought he was the one
But mercury in retrograde was making my brain numb
I missed the cues and signals so obvious to some
It fell apart in record time yes three weeks it was done!
It turns out that this backward spin impairs reality
It only takes that three week stint for things not right to be
To end up on that cutting floor in trash heaps piled up high
Cause afterward you see it’s junk in ways you can’t deny
So mercury in retrograde there’s not much you can do
Just sit around and watch it go and not try something new
You can’t come to your senses cause they can not ne found

Clouds your reason when you seize on all the fear in front of you
So when will you begin to let the love flow in
And be a part of life, like springs renewal?
